Activity Time!
Pick something that you really want to put effort into. It could be something to do with your school work, it could be sport, it could be music, it could be a friendship, it could be something to do with your family. Spend at least 15 minutes each day working on it. It can be longer. Work on it for at least 5 days per week.
Come back in a few weeks and see how good you might be getting at it. Getting better at the task means your brain cells are connecting.
We have 100 billion brain cells (we call these neurons) and trillions of synapses between them (that is a lot!).
Brain Fact
Learning Intention
- To learn that brain cells need to connect to become stronger;
- To learn that the way to connect our 100 billion brain cells is by putting in effort.
Success Criteria
- To be able to name one activity that you have increased your effort on in the last week;
- To be able to see that you have made even just a very small improvement on that activity.
